BTEC PRE-ACADEMIC PEARSON
BTEC PEARSON is one of the most recognized applied learning brands in the world for more than thirty years.
BTEC Pearson are job-related qualifications for students who intend to enter the world of work or those who are already employed and looking for career opportunities for development.
Pearson BTEC qualifications are therefore widely recognized by industry and higher education as the main technical professional qualification at levels 3-4 and 5.
Pre-Academic courses are held at the MAST Music Academy venues in Bari and Rome and are divided into two types corresponding to different levels within the European qualifications:
- BTEC National Diploma in Music or Music Technology
- BTEC Higher National Certificate in Music or Music Technology
BTEC NATIONAL DIPLOMA
- For whom is the course suitable?
The Pre-Academic Diploma Course BTEC NATIONAL DIPLOMA, is a two-year course, it is suitable for children aged 15 or over and the average year of high school and can be done either in Pearson certified mode or in non-certified mode. At the end of the certified course the student will come into possession of a registered BTEC Level 3 qualification (EQF table).
These skills allow the student to do so, the achievement of the knowledge requirements required for access to the first year of the Bachelor of Arts Commercial Music course and to the Conservatories, subject to the application of Italian and European regulations concerning the recognition and usability of qualifications esters.The course in non-certified mode requires the issuance of a Certificate of Frequency without legal value.
- How are lessons conducted?
The program pays attention to the need to deepen the theoretical-practical knowledge useful for achieving a level of professional preparation in technique, theory, reading and solfeggio, ear training, in playing in a band.
Great attention is paid to Live Performances through Live and Pre-Production Laboratories. In this context, bands are formed among the boys who focus their repertoire on a Pop Contemporary program and on a Live development that takes into consideration the performance, as well as the stage presence, the preparation of the sound, the care of the styles.
These skills allow the student to do so, to achieve the requisites of musical knowledge required for access to the 1st year of the Bachelor of Arts course. At the end of the certified course the student will come into possession of a title called BTEC Level 3.
The BTEC Level 3 is a final foreign secondary school qualification, awarded by Pearson which allows access to university courses in the relevant disciplines (Bachelor of Arts) and Conservatories, subject to the application of Italian and European regulations on the recognition and usability of foreign securities.
BTEC HIGHER NATIONAL CERTIFICATE/DIPLOMA IN MUSIC OR MUSIC TECHNOLOGY
- How are lessons conducted?
It is suitable for children aged 17 or over. This course can be developed in one or two years, based on the theoretical-harmonic and instrumental knowledge presented by the student. With the attainment of the Higher National Certificate / Diploma the student will come into possession of a title called BTEC level 4/5 of the EQF table.
The Higher National Certificate / Diploma Course is the most complete and advanced, both from a technical and theoretical point of view, for the musician who wants to pursue a professional musical career. The path, multi-styled, offers the possibility of expanding its technical knowledge of instrument while promoting a 360-degree professional growth aimed at acquiring skills in the field of composition and arrangement, in the style execution, in live performance and not least in the ability to plan and promote one’s career in an aware and effective way.
The course highlights consequential training courses that cover different professional fields: composition / arrangement, live performance / discography and marketing / management of one’s career. In this way, therefore, the course can form potentials: composers-arrangers, musicians-producers of themselves or of other artists.
- This title can be used for:
Continue the educational path for obtaining the Level 6 table EQF – Bachelor of Arts.§ Upon fulfilment of the formalities required by European and Italian legislation, enrol in an Italian university course in related subjects or continue the musical path at the Conservatories.§ Participate in public competitions. We remind you that Public Contests are reserved for Italian citizens or those of a European Union country.
The course includes a course of steps 1 and 2 (4 and 5 Level of the European Qualifications Framework), with a frequency by the student of a predetermined number of courses and subjects per academic year: theoretical-analytical-practical, musicological, interpretative and overall, compositional, musical organization and communication, electronic music and sound technologies and internships chosen by the student.The course highlights consequential training courses that cover different professional fields: composition / Arrangement, Live Performance / Discography and Marketing / Career management. In this way, therefore, the course can train potentials: Arranger-Composers, Musicians-Shifts, Musicians-Producers of themselves or of other artists.
With the achievement of the 2nd year Higher National Diploma the student will come into possession of a title called BTEC level 4/5 of the EQF table. This title can be used for: continue the educational path to obtain the EQF Level 6 table – Bachelor of Arts at one of the MAN network campuses;§ subject to the fulfilment of the formalities required by European and Italian legislation, enrolling in a university course in related subjects or continuing the musical path at the Conservatories.§ Participate in public competitions, subject to compliance with the formalities required by European and Italian legislation, and based on the requirements established by the individual calls for applications.
